1. Submerge the whetstone in water for approximately 5 minutes before every use.
2. Wipe the surface with wet cloth or rinse with water after sharpening, always dry your cutter before you store it away.
3. Do not use the whetstone to scissors or ceramic knives.
4. When there is some slurry on the whetstone surface, do not scrape slurry.
