Description
The Exo Terra Day and Night LED is suitable for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates with no UVB-requirements like snakes, nocturnal geckos, frogs, newts, salamanders, spiders, scorpions, insects, etc. The bright white LED create a nice daylight while the blue LED mimic a moonlight shimmer that enable to observe the animals at night without disturbing their natural behavior. The dim light of the blue LED allows nocturnal animals to navigate in their territory in search of insects, mating-partners, etc. Simply tap the Day/Night logo touch button (2) to switch from bright daylight to blue night light (3). The Exo Terra Day and Night LED is the most convenient and energy efficient way to illuminate the terrarium day and night. Conventional lightbulbs waste more than 80% of the used energy in the form of heat whereas the Exo Terra Day and Night LED illuminates the terrarium with a minimum of heat and a maximum of light output. An almost complete absence of heat production reduces the risk of overheating during summer season and allows natural night time temperature drops. Note: By pressing the touch switch from the off position should turn the white and Blue LEDs on. Touching it again will switch the white off leaving the Blue LEDs illuminated.
