Grow your own mealworms with Josh's Frogs Mealworm Bedding. Keep pupae separate from adult beetles with Josh's Frogs Egg Flats! Mealworms change from eggs, to worms, to pupae, and then to beetles; successful colonies keep these life stages separate to prevent cannibalism. Eggs are laid in the bedding, mealworms eat the bedding and grow. When the pupate, they should be placed in a new container with the egg flat. Beetles prefer to climb the egg flat which simplifies moving the beetles from one container to the next.
