- Reef-safe scientifically formulated blend of bioavailable carbon sources to provide fuel to nutrient reducing bacteria present in all reef aquariums.
- Bacteria in deep sand beds and live rock oxidise the carbon into carbon dioxide while reducing nitrate from the water into chemically inert nitrogen gas. Phosphate is consumed by bacteria and removed from the aquarium by skimming.
- Engineered to avoid fuelling undesired cyanobacterial blooms.
- Most effective when reducing nitrate levels when phosphate is measured at 0.02ppm or greater, alkalinity is greater than 7 dKH and pH is 8.2 or above.
