Weiler's Nylox® abrasive nylon wheel brushes featuring composite metal hub and composite hub construction are manufactured using a molded polymer material to retain the filaments. In comparison to traditional metal hub construction that folds the fill material around an internal retaining ring or wrap wire, these techniques result in a significant increase in fill density and elimination of filament breakage, offering the lowest cost-of-use and greatest consistency of performance in production applications. Weiler's composite metal hub wheels marry the high density and superior filament retention of composite hub wheels with the dimensional stability and shock resistance of metal hub construction. Burr-Rx® wheels feature Weiler's advanced black ceramic grain filament, which delivers up to a 400% greater edge cutting action in comparison to traditional silicon carbide and aluminum oxide filaments for the fastest, most aggressive deburring action to minimize cycle times and maximize media life.
